Brixton Blues Bus Kiss 2004

Do you remember the summer
we both betrayed another
making love
after so much wine?
You wore Chanel
behind your ear
and nothing but desire
under your dress.

I remember the next morning
waking next to you
searching for a name
without any clue
sitting in your kitchen
drinking cups of tea
knowing this was all
it was ever going to be.
