Nick Whittle's Graphic Prints and Poetry

Nick Whittle’s emphasis on patterns and interpenetrating shapes and spaces suggest the rhythms and harmonies of natural process conscripted into a personal quest and vision. They also seem strangely auditory - as though l could hear music. Nick Whittle [is a] fine poet and I’m privileged to be able to read some of [his] work in an attempt to illustrate the relationship I’ve been harping on between words and visual images. I find quite remarkable the way in which the words and image generate new spaces within which understanding dawns. The two different media also establish - not so much different points of view - as different doorways into the creative imagination.
